Workshop - "How did that happen??"
This Workshop evening is not so much about all the GREAT things that have happened to you whilst sailing, but rather more focussed on those events, accidents, mishaps, and mis-judgements that you might wish had not happened, BUT THEY DID!
An evening to come clean, amongst friends, and pass on some of the experiences that you have learned from. No need to be shy ... as they say ... "if nothing has ever gone wrong, you're not trying hard enough!"
Just think ... anchoring, berthing, buoyage, clothing, conditions, diesel and petrol, equipment, crew, catering, forecasts, navigation, overboard, passages, weather. Come on, spill the beans!
There will be a small Panel to help guide Members around the wide variety of opportunities to tell your story, or stories. I'm already lining up some of my own, a few of which you don't yet know about, and am looking forward to being fascinated by what other stories surface during the evening! Some of them might need a stiff drink in advance to be able to tell, but just think of it as our own version of writing in an email or letter to the Yachting Monthly "Confessional".
Gasps of terror, disbelief, and laughter, as stories get told ... will be allowed!
